The Harlan Rotary Club is a non profit civic organization that consists of community and business leaders in Harlan Kentucky.  We strive to improve the quality of life within our community and work jointly with other organizations to promote and foster community development.

This site is designed to introduce you to our many projects that we have done over the years and to allow you to be kept up to date on upcoming community projects:

The Rotary Club has for the past 20 years funded scholarships for deserving students to attend Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College.

We have made donations to support the activities of such organizations as Harlan Countians for a Healthy Community, Camp Blanton Trust, Harlan Boy Scouts, and other deserving hard working programs within our community.

The last 5 years we have run an ongoing project to improve the entertainment availability, tourism, and preserve our cultural heritage by sponsoring, in cooperation with Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College Harlan Campus, a Bluegrass Concert Series that has culminated in a full blown outdoor annual festival. The Third Annual The Goin' Back To Harlan Bluegrass Festival  will be June 26,27,28 2008. Last years festival was attended by 1,310 people

Meeting Schedule and Club Officers

The Harlan Rotary Club meets weekly at noon at the Western Sizzlin Steak House on each Tuesday.  The club is presided over by President, Will Clem and is also directed by an enthusiastic Board of Directors.
